Blue Rock Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley 2007
Blue Rock is a 100-acre estate located in Sonoma in the Alexander Valley next door to Silver Oak Winery. All five red Bordeaux varietals are planted on the 46-acre vineyard as well as a bit of Syrah. The name Blue Rock comes from the soil which is studded with blue pebbles, rocks and boulders of serpentine.
The signature Blue Rock Estate Cabernet Sauvignon includes small amounts of Merlot, Cab Franc, Malbec and Petite Verdot. This a food lovers Cab - jammy currant nose, velvety and balanced. Ripe black and red fruit with fine, sweet tannins, elegant texture and a solid finish.

ブルー・ロックはアレキサンダー・バレーのソノマにある広さ100エーカーのワイナリー。シルバー・オーク・ワイナリーの隣に位置する。46エーカーある自社畑には、フランスのボルドーの主要品種全5種のほか、シラーもわずかに栽培している。「ブルー・ロック」の名は、青い小石や岩、蛇紋石が散らばったその土壌に由来する。
看板のブルー・ロック エステート カベルネ・ソービニオンはメルローやカベルネ・フラン、マルベック、プチ・ベルドーを少量含んでいる。食通好みのこのカベルネは、香りは黒スグリのジャムのようで、舌触りはべルベットのように滑らかでバランスも取れている。熟した黒色系や赤色系のフルーツの風味に甘いタンニン、エレガントな舌ざわりとしっかりした余韻が楽しい。
