Girard Old Vine Zinfandel Napa Valley 2009
This 2009 vintage Old Vine Zinfandel is lush, fruit-forward and medium-bodied with well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity. Intense black cherry and blackberry fruit flavors along with notes of pipe tobacco, cinnamon and allspice. The blend is 97% Zinfandel and 3% Petite Sirah. The fruit concentration from the Girard mountain vineyards and the century-old valley floor vineyards ensure rich flavor extraction, a fruit-forward palate and wonderful layers of complexity from multiple soil types.
