Groth Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville 2008
Dennis and Judy Groth purchased the 121 acre Oakcross Vineyard in the Oakville appellation in 1981. The vineyard was originally owned by Justin Meyer and Ray Duncan, Silver Oak's founders, who planted the estate with some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Groth Winery was established in 1982 and began producing what have become some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignons coming from the Napa Valley.
The 2008 Groth Cabernet Sauvignon is big and lush with huge gobs of blackberry, plum and cherry fruit in the aroma and flavor. The texture of the wine is soft and supple, typical of Cabernet Sauvignons grown in the Oakville AVA. Patience during bottle aging will reward the "steward" with an outstanding bottle over the next 10 to 15 years.

グロス カベルネ・ソービニオン オークビル 2008
グロス夫妻（デニスとジュディー）がオークビル地区で121エーカーあるオークロス・ビンヤードを購入したのは1981年のこと。このビンヤードは元々シルバー・オークを創立したジャスティン・メイヤーとレイ・ダンカンの両氏が所有していたもので、最優良なカベルネ・ソービニオンが栽培されていた。グロス・ワイナリーは1982年に設立され、以来、ナパバレーのカベルネ・ソービニオンとしては有数のワインを作り出している。
2008年のグロスのカベルネ・ソービニオンはビッグでエネルギーに溢れる。ブラックベリーやプラム、チェリーが香りにも風味にも大きく広がる。舌触りは、オークビル地区のカベルネ・ソービニオンであることを物語るかのように、あくまで柔らかくてまろやか。忍耐をもってボトルで熟成（10年から15年熟成）させれば、それだけの褒賞は得られる。ステーキといっしょにどうぞとデニス・グロス氏は勧める。
