Hogwash Rose California 2010
Hogwash is a rose wine project from Tuck Beckstoffer Wines. Made in the traditional sagnie method, Hogwash is a blend of two Grenache vineyards, one from central California and the other from Mendocino. The Paso Robles Grenache imparts wonderful fruit and an intoxicating nose while the Mendocino fruit provides bright vibrant acidity and wonderful notes of rose pedals and summer fruits.
With aromas of ripe strawberries, watermelon and faint notes of jasmine, rose petals and honeysuckle. The palate bursts with flavors of melon, orange peel, and peaches wrapped around refreshing acidity. Hogwash is a Rose perfectly matched for classic summertime dishes such as vine-ripe tomato salad or grilled fish, as well as wonderfully quaffable on a warm summer day.
