Discreetly tucked to the side of famed Silverado Trail, acclaimed and local's favorite Judd's Hill feels like a secret discovery.  Hustle, bustle, and corporate scales have no place here.  Instead, Judd's Hill is a family-owned, cheerful, eco-conscious, critically acclaimed, artsy smash hit... with the added bonus of chickens clucking outside the vines! Named for Art's son, Judd's Hill wines are carefully crafted from fruit produced from the family's 18 acres of vines on Howell Mountain as well as ultra-premium sourced grapes from artisan vineyards throughout Napa Valley.  Focusing on robust wines with magnetic Napa fruit, the family's approach to producing softer edged Napa wines put Judd's Hill on the map. This 100% Chardonnay is brimming with delicious and luscious tropical fruit, brioche, vanilla and just a hint of oak. Only 96 cases produced and VERY hard to find.

ナパバレーを北へ伸びるシルベラド・トレイル道の脇の農地のなかに、密かにたたずむジャッズ・ヒル。地元の人々に人気の高い評判のこのワイナリーは穴場といえる。ここには実業界の喧騒など入り込む余地はない。家族経営。環境保護に関心の高い、評論の良い、芸術的なワイナリーの雰囲気はあくまでも陽気。ブドウ畑の横を鶏が走り回る。ジャッズは、アートさんの息子の名前、「ジャッド」から。ワインには、ハウエル・マウンテンにある自社畑18エーカーからのブドウと、ナパバレーあちこちのブドウ栽培専門農家から仕入れた超優良ブドウを使用。ナパバレーの魅力的なブドウで力強いワインを造ることはもちろん、そのワインにまろやかさをも持たせようとするのがジャッズ・ヒルズのワイン造り。ワイン生産業界に確固たる地位を占める所以である。シャルドネ100%。トロピカル・フルーツやブリオッシュ、バニラが溢れんばかりの風味。オークもかすかに香る。わずか96ケースのみの限定生産。入手超困難。
