Lorenza Rosé California 2010
Lorenza Rosé is produced by a Napa Valley mother daughter team, Melinda Kearney and Michele Ouellet who are madly in love with Rosé. They both have day jobs: Melinda is a wine marketing consultant and Michele is an international fashion model. They both are pink thinkers.
Lorenza Rosé is an homage to the lovely rose wines of the south of France. Lorenza sources its fruit from wonderful 100 year old vines grown in sandy soil in Northern California — mourvedre, carignane, cinsault, grenache and syrah for a bright many layered flavor profile. Picked early, the grapes are whole cluster pressed and left on the skins for a whisper of a moment to achieve a pale pink hue, low alcohol and wonderful acidity. Fermented dry, Lorenza Rosé is a wonderful summertime wine and very food friendly with all of your picnic favorites.
