Manifesto! Zinfandel Lodi 2009
The Manifesto! team sources fruit from local growers to make really tasty value wines. Manifeso! is Jamey Whetstone, CEO and winemaker , Henri Gabriel, co-founder, and Peter Roy, a leader in the natural and organic foods industry.
Jamey Whetsone spent seven vintages at Turley Wine Cellars working with thousands of tons of Zinfandel and since leaving, has wanted to find a way to get one in the bottle under the Manifesto! label. He found this sustainably-farmed fruit in Lodi in 2009 and is super stoked with this first release of Zinfandel.
Ruby red in color with a nose full of red raspberry, bright cherry, blackberry, and plum with secondary aromas of orange peel, rose petal and Asian spice. Flavors full of ripe cherry, raspberry, blackberry, and stone fruit lead to a long finish with secondary flavors of blackberry pie and a hint of baker's chocolate.
