Ramey Chardonnay Sonoma Coast 2008

This is the first vintage to be dominated by the Martinelli Charles Ranch on Bohan Dillon Road. Planted in 1980, this is one of the most spectacular vineyards in Sonoma County. This vintage also marks what could be the final inclusion of the Platt Vineyard, as in 2009 the vines have matured enough to merit their own vineyard-designated bottling. A small bit of the Sonoma Stage Vineyard rounds out the blend. 65% Martinelli Charles Ranch, 22% Platt, 13% Sonoma Stage 

This fresh, dry, medium-bodied wine starts with apple and pear on the nose. Taste toasty brioche, white peaches and buttered citrus on the palate.  Great texture and minerality with strong yet balanced acidity that finishes long.

レイミー　シャルドネ　ソノマ・コースト　2008

ボーハン・ディロン・ロード沿いにあるマーティネリ・チャールス・ランチからのブドウを主に使用した初めてのヴィンテージ。マーティネリ・チャールス・ランチにシャルドネが植栽されたのは1980年。ソノマ郡のなかでも有数の優良ビンヤードだ。

また、当ヴィンテージはプラット・ビンヤードからのブドウを含む最後のヴィンテージとなりそう。プラット・ビンヤードのブドウの木々が、2009年には、単一畑で優良ワインを造るのに十分なほど成長しているためだ。

ソノマ・ステージ・ビンヤードからのブドウ少量もブレンドをうまくまとめている。

マーティネリ・チャールス・ビンヤード65%、プラット22%、ソノマ・ステージ13%。

フレッシュでドライ。ミディアム・ボディー。リンゴや洋ナシの香り。香ばしいブリオッシュや白桃、バターでいためたシトラス系のフルーツの風味。素晴らしい舌触りと、バランスの取れたしっかりした酸味を伴うミネラル感が、長い余韻となっている。パーカー氏の評価は90点。
