Biale Vineyards Zinfandel "Party Line" Napa Valley 2009
Customers used to order eggs, produce and secret bottles of Zinfandel called “black chickens” from Aldo Biale via the old shared phone service called “the party line.” This Zinfandel is from some of Biale’s favoriteZin vineyards in Napa Valley. Opens with a big burst of wild berry fruit that morphs into jammy raspberry fruit and just baked buttery croissant with nice spicy/nutty flavors. A classic Biale balancing act of fruit expression and elegance. Just 235 cases made.

昔、電話回線が共有されていた時代、その共有回線を「パーティー・ライン」と呼んだ。アルドー・ビアレ氏のもとへのお客たちからの注文は、このパーティー・ラインを通じて入ってきた。注文は、卵や農産物、そして「ブラック・チキン」。「ブラック・チキン」はジンファンデールの暗号名だった。
このジンファンデールはナパバレーにある、ビアレお気に入りのビンヤードから。野生のベリー系のフルーツのはじけるような香に、スパイシーなナッツが漂う、ラズベリー・ジャムや焼きたてのバター・クロワッサンの風味が取って代わる。フルーツ感とエレガントさのバランスの良さは典型的なビアレ。 わずか235ケースのみの限定生産。
