Selene Sauvignon Blanc Carneros Hyde Vineyards 2008

Selene Wines is star consultant Mia Klein's personal wine label. The Selene name comes from Greek mythology, Selene being the mother goddess of the full moon. With the extraordinary Hyde Vineyards, and its Musqu planting of this grape, you get a refined, texturally layered wine that sets a new bar for Sauvignon Blanc\'s potential.

Hyde Vineyards is located in the Carneros Region of Napa between Highway 12 and Old Sonoma Road. This is a relatively warm part of the Carneros, since it\'s further from the cooling influences of fog and wind from nearby San Francisco Bay. It also has good elevation above sea level, making the soils lighter in clay with better drainage.

A mix of barrel (30 percent) and steel fermentation, results in aromas of white peach, meyer lemon, asian pear, honeydew melon and spice. Flavors mirror the aromas with crisp acidity, lush texture and a long finish.

セリーン・ワインズはスター・ワインコンサルタントであるミア・クライン女史の個人ラベル。セリーンの名はギリシャ神話の月の女神から来ている。銘醸畑であるハイド・ビンヤードの香りの素晴らしいムスク種のソービニオン・ブランが造りだす洗練され深みのあるワイン。ソービニオン・ブランの潜在力の高さを示している。

 ハイド・ビンヤードはナパのカーネロス地区のハイウェイ12号線とオールド・ソノマ・ロードの間にある。サンフランシスコ湾から入ってくる冷涼な霧や風の影響が届きにくい位置にあるため、カーネロスにしては比較的暖かい。海抜も高く、土壌も粘土質にしては軽く、水はけも比較的良い。

樽発酵（30%）とステンレススチール発酵のミックス。白桃やメイヤー・レモン、ナシ、ハニーデュー・メロン、スパイスの香り。風味はその芳香どおり。新鮮な酸味と豊潤な口当たり。長い余韻も楽しめる。
