Shafer Relentless Syrah Napa Valley 2017

This wine honors Shafer’s long-time winemaker Elias Fernandez and his relentless pursuit of quality. Sourced from a single ridgetop vineyard adjacent to the southern border of Stags Leap District, the grapes for Relentless are a proprietary blend of Syrah 90% and Petite Sirah 10%. Bold and floral with a core of classic Syrah meatiness along with dark fruit, cinnamon, rose petals, and black pepper. Finish with bright acidity, black fruit, vanilla and floral flavor.

このワインはシェーファーで長年醸造家を務めているエリアス・フェルナンデス氏と彼の品質を求める飽くなき潔癖性（relentless）を讃えたもの。ブドウはスタッグス・リープ地区の南端の丘の上にある単一畑からのものを使用。シラー90%にプチ・シラーを10%ブレンド。大胆で華やか。シラー特有の肉感的な風味には黒色系・青色系フルーツやシナモン、バラの花びら、黒胡椒が香る。明るい酸味が漂う余韻には黒色系フルーツやバニラ、花々も香る。
