Tamber Bey Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville 2006

Tamber Bey combines the names of the first Arabian horses that Tamber Bey owner Barry Waitte owned and raced - Tamborina and Bayamo, affectionately known as Tamber and Bey.

The Tamber Bey estate is now home to several world-class Arabian endurance horses. These horses regularly compete over distances of 50 and 100 miles and are ridden by Barry and Tamber Bey General Manager Jennifer Nice, who is also the horses' trainer.

The Tamber Bey Estate Vineyard consists of 11 acres located at the southern end of Napa Valley\'s famous Oakville appellation, just north of Yountville.

The 2006 Oakville Cab offers aromas of pure cassis, black cherries and classic Oakville notes of saddle leather, lead pencil shavings and dried herbs. True to this site, this wine reveals perfectly ripened Cabernet Sauvignon fruit enveloped into a velvety texture on the mid pallet. Here it gains intensity propelling the finish into a rush of exotic black and red fruits slathered with chocolaty nuances and powdery tannins that melt away.

タンバー・ベイ　カベルネ・ソービニオン　オークビル　2006

タンバー・ベイの名はオーナーのバリー・ウェイト氏が飼っていた2頭のアラビアン競走馬に由来する。2頭の名はタンボリーナとベイヤモ（愛称はタンバーとベイ）。

タンバー・ベイ・エステートには現在も国際的レベルのエンデュランス用アラビア馬が何頭か飼われており、ウェイト氏とタンバー・ベイの総支配人であるジェニファー・ニース女史が騎士となり定期的に50マイル走と100マイル走に出ている。ニース女史は調教師でもある。

タンバー・ベイ・エステート・ビンヤードは11エーカーあり、ナパバレーのあのオークビル地区の南の端（ヨントビル地区のすぐ北）に位置する。

2006年のオークビル・カバルネは黒スグリやブラックチェリーの純粋な香り。オークビル地区に独特のサドル用皮革や削り立ての鉛筆、乾燥したハーブの香りも漂う。テロワールの特質を生かしたこのワインは、完璧に熟したカベルネ・ソービニオンのブドウがベルベットに包まれて口中に広がる。やがて、その凝縮感が増してチョコレートのニュアンスのあるエキゾチックな黒色系、赤色系フルーツの風味に変わり、パウダーのようなタンニンも溶けて余韻につながる。
