Terra Valentine Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2009

Terra Valentine is blessed with two vineyards, Wurtele and Yverdon, that capture the best of Spring Mountain District winegrowing. Both vineyards have been farmed using sustainable practices since 2001. As of 2008, the Yverdon vineyard has been organically farmed. The vineyards are distinguished by a diversity of mountain terrain and vines that are well adapted to the environment. While the mountain sites present challenges; including accessibility, diversity of soils, ripening, and hand labor, they reward the effort in wine filled with intense flavor and color.

For this Napa Valley wine, the blend of 85% cabernet sauvignon, 10% merlot, and 5% cabernet franc is a mixture of 5 different clones of Cabernet, 3 clones of Merlot, and 3 clones of Cabernet Franc. A deep ruby color with black currant, fig and boysenberry fruit aromas. More black and red fruit on the palate with notes of tobacco and cedar and velvety tannins. Taste pie spice and cocoa flavors that finish toasty, smooth and round.

テラ・バレンタインは、ナパバレーのスプリング・マウンテン地区最高峰のブドウを産出するワーテルとイバーダンという2つの素晴らしいビンヤードを持つ。2001年以来、継続可能農法を実施し、イバーダン・ビンヤードでは、現在、有機栽培を実行している。山岳部の多様な地形とそれにうまく適応したブドウが特徴。出入りの難しさや多様な土壌、熟成具合の監視、手作業などすべてがチャレンジの山岳地帯での栽培は、凝縮された風味と色がぎっしり詰まったワインとなってその努力に報いている。カベルネ・ソービニオン85％にメルロー10％、カベルネ・フラン5％をブレンド。濃いルビー色。黒スグリやイチジク、ボイズンベリーの香り。口に含むと黒色系や赤色系フルーツの風味にスギやタバコの香りが漂う。ベルベットのように滑らかなタンニン。パイ・スパイスとココアが香るトーストが買った滑らかでまろやかな余韻が楽しい。わずか1110ケースのみの限定生産。
