Deep inky garnet color with enticing aromatics of black currant, ripe cherry, dark plums, licorice, and spice, with a lifted floral note and nuances of French Oak. Across the palate, it is smooth, velvety, and elegant, serving up tons of lush berry flavor with complexity, balance, and a long, graceful finish. Tannins are soft and integrated, yet present enough to provide body and weight. Showy and already quite approachable as a young wine, it also has a great structure that will allow it to evolve in the cellar over the next several decades. Ripe and powerful but also stately and elegant.
バレット・アンド・バレット カベルネ・ソービニオン ナパ・バレー 2018超銘醸造家ハイディー・バレット女史が夫のボー・バレット氏（シャトーモントレーナのオーナー）がコラボで作るカルトワイン。インクのように濃い暗紅色。ブラックカラントや熟したチェリー、ダークプラム、リコリス、スパイスの香に花のような香りも漂い、フレンチ樽のニュアンスもある。スムーズでベルベットのように滑らかでエレガントな口当たりには豊潤なベリー類の複雑でバランスの良い風味が溢れ、長くて優雅な余韻へとつながって行く。タンニンはソフトで溶け込んでいるが骨格と重さを十分に作り出している。若いワインであるにも関わらず表現が豊かで今いただいても美味しいが、何十年かセラーで寝かせてどんどん発展させていくこともできるだよう。熟して力強く、堂々とした優雅なワイン。 |
