The Hess Collection's Allomi vineyard is situated on rolling hills below the Howell Mountain appellation, in northeastern Napa Valley.
A complex, medium-full style of Cabernet. It is supple in texture, lightly oaked and well balanced, with a long finish. Lifted floral aromas with hints of cherry offset by vanilla and sandalwood. Black pepper spice lingers. Ripe fruits (cassis, plum, black licorice) and toasty oak flavor.
It goes very well with earthy flavored dish such as herb roasted chicken, grilled pork, caramelized onions, eggplant, sautéed greens, roasted potatoes and aged Jack and Gouda cheese.
